Born in Chania in 1977. He took his first painting lessons from his father, painter Antonis Petroulakis. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts under professor Dimitris Mytaras, and graduated at 2003. Since 2009 he has been working on a fixed-term contract as teaching staff for the Visual Arts course at the School of Architecture of the Technical University of Crete in Chania. He lives and works in Athens and Chania.
