Marios Spiliopoulos

Spiliopoulos Marios

Born at Poligyros, Chalkidiki in 1957. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, where he has also been a tutor since 1991. He has previously represented Greece in three European Cultural Capital editions (Glasgow 1990, Madrid 1992 and Copenhagen 1996) and in the 2nd Biennale of Istanbul. In 1994 he was awarded the Grand Prix dAlexandrie at the 18th Biennale of Alexandria. His work has been presented in 24 solo exhibitions and in more than 150 group shows in Greece and abroad. He lives and works in Athens.
