As part of the exhibition “Individuality: Works from The Sotiris Felios Collection,” the Municipal Gallery of Alimos will host a special discussion on the art of portraiture. On Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM, three emerging painters from The Sotiris Felios Collection—Dimitris Anastasiou, Emmanouil Bitsakis, and Antonis Stavernis—will engage in a conversation with art historian and exhibition curator George Mylonas. The discussion will explore the challenges, complexities, and magic of portraiture, an art form that, despite its roots in tradition, continues to captivate in an era of digital mass production.

The event is organized by the Municipal Gallery of Alimos and the Open University of the Municipality of Alimos, in collaboration with the “The Other Arcadia” Foundation.
