Test 3
The Courtauld Institute of Art, London and The Sotiris Felios Collection collaborate for the first time to present the “Residency Programme for Academic and Curatorial Research of Contemporary Greek Art”.
The collaboration between The Courtauld Institute of Art and The Sotiris Felios Collection aims to create support channels for emerging curators and art historians, who want to expand academic research around contemporary figurative art and its position within the international art scene.
The Programme invites current PhD candidates, MA and third-year students and recent alumni from The Courtauld Institute of Art, with an academic background in art history and curating, giving them the opportunity to develop further their art research, through engaging in a self-initiated project that builds on thematics linked to The Sotiris Felios Collection and the artistic community of Athens.
The programme takes place twice a year hosting one participant at a time and consists of two pathways: the research-based art history pathway (March/April) where a written piece is produced, and the curatorial pathway, (September/ October) where a site-responsive project is developed. The programme is offers a 6-week fully-funded residency, with the participants residing in the area of Kypseli, located in the centre of Athens.
